Music or News to start the morning ?

On the weekdays, I often wake up to my mom watching the FOX news. I overhear what the weather will be like for the week, how the economy continues to plummet, how there will be traffic this morning because of a car accident, how another high school has been shut down, how there was a protest in San Francisco or a gang
shooting in Oakland the other day..

Bottom line, I regularly wake up to negativity and it is not a pleasant way to start my day. I tend to be cranky and light-headed from my lack of sleep, and I want to be uplifted into a mellow mood before going to school; not informed with negative news.

When I am not in a rush (mostly on Wednesdays) I turn the television on either VH1 channel 44 for "Jump Start" or MTV channel 43 for "AMTV: 10 on Top Countdown".

Jump Start airs on channel 44 from 6-9a.m. AMTV: 10 on Top Countdown shows from 7-8a.m on weekdays.

Basically, these two shows air music videos. Jump Start presents upcoming bands and snappy music videos that are becoming popular. They play anything from Rap to Hip-Hop, to Indie to Pop, etc. AMTV, on the other hand, shows the top 10 music videos of the day.

Conversely, it is also important to know the recent events and news that are happening in the world.

If you had the time to watch television in the morning, which would you prefer to watch? The news or music?

Vote now and get your favorite music video on the top!

Black Friday Television Deals

Every year, Black Friday comes along after Thanksgiving day and blowouts on electronics cause pandemonium outside of numerous stores. News stations are filled with footage of great gatherings of eager bargain hunters impatiently waiting for stores to open as early as 3a.m. As fellow shoppers prepare for the holiday season, massive sales on Black Friday attracts countless customers.

Along with many other items put on sale, television is among one of the most targeted bargains on Black Friday. Some sales go up to as high as 70% off. Good bargains can be found in websites such as:  http://www.blackfriday2011.com/subscribe/b1?tid=1111&s=gs|home-gen|bf2011-kwbftxt-b1&gclid=COTY1tzqrawCFUcaQgodKlVmGg

Last year, my uncle bought a 56 inch plasma Sony television and got the second one free. Some deals are mind blowing that the stores are practically giving them away. It gets one to wonder what the motives of these retailers are, when profits seem not to be met.

Regardless, these deals only come once a year and televisions are expensive material items, so get them while they are served before another beats you to it.
